Racial Madness

Four blacks kidnapped and tortured a white mentally-challenged man while using “terrible racist statements.” (Torture streamed on Facebook Live!)

racial-madness

The Washington Post suggested it was inconsequential. CNN called it a “hazing.” One CNN panelist actually blamed Trump! NBC argued the thugs were not “truly trying to be criminal.” (Imagine saying that about the abominable Dylann Roof.)

The Chicago police refused to call it a hate crime. When is a hate crime not a hate crime? When its committed by blacks against a white male.

In related news, a university professor tweeted “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.” This professor remains employed.

Racial Healing Aborted

Barack Obama promised racial healing in America and racial tensions reached new heights under his presidency.

Despite Obama winning the presidency twice in a majority white nation, the racial grievance industry took control of the national debate. (No, not the KKK; the BLM.)

Phony Black Lives Matter narratives filled the airwaves, Internet, and social media.

Enslaved and energized by identity politics – and rejecting the promises and realities of Martin Luther King’s famous dream – the Black Lives Matter movement employed a range of racial myths to create a constituency and gain power and prestige. (Let’s not forget the money.)

quote-abraham-lincoln-freed-the-black-man-in-many-ways-dr-king-freed-the-white-man-how-did-ronald-reagan-137-80-36

Some of these narratives (e.g., “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”) have been proven totally false, yet they retain a visceral power which overwhelms reason and reality.

From Ferguson to Baltimore and across the nation, Black Lives Matter propaganda has destroyed communities and created chaos.

Riots are called “protests.” Murder is deemed “social justice.”

Root Causes

So-called “white privilege” is the latest bogeyman. But blacks are not victims of a fictitious “institutionalized white racism” or presumed “white privilege.”

Rather, some blacks are victims of a fifty-year-old War on Poverty and a welfare state which has become the new plantation – created by Democrats who treat them as children. The paternalistic state gone awry.

The welfare statenot white racism – has created generational poverty, generational broken homes, and a cultural of dependency justified by allegations that blacks are victims of white racism and the legacy of slavery.

Consequently, perceiving themselves to be victims, many feel entitled to whatever they can get from the government, becoming dependent upon that government. With it, comes rage against the injustices they perceive have been perpetrated against them. And with that comes a culture of irresponsibility.

David French observes, “When you celebrate thugs, you get more thugs.” He laments a “depraved culture” and “breakdown in law and order.”

French concludes: “Our nation’s social fabric is fraying — nowhere more than in Chicago. This is the Left’s city, a foundation of its national power. How many more people have to die before it changes course?”

Contemporary dysfunctional black communities are not rooted in America’s founding. Rather, one need only look to Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society and subsequent iterations of the welfare state and the adoption of progressive policies and political correctness to see the development and escalation of dysfunctional pathologies in some black (and a growing number of white) communities.

America No Longer Needs to Apologize for Slavery

My MSNBC Op-Ed (7/2/97), entitled, “America has acknowledged mistakes,” is as relevant today as it was twenty years ago. Here it is:

Kimberle Crenshaw writes about passionate “white opposition” to a formal apology for slavery (neglecting to mention the many blacks who oppose it as well). While citing their objections (in her terms: “personal denial,” “finger pointing,” “traditional historicizing,” and “new-age globalizing”), she fails to refute any of those arguments. She doesn’t even try.

Instead, Crenshaw questions the motives of those opposed to an apology, saying it “reflects a deep unwillingness to desegregate American history and to integrate American self-identity.” Self-flagellation is not my self-identity.

Crenshaw contrasts post-slave, post-apartheid societies with non-slave, non-apartheid ones, failing to note that all societies are at least post-slave and, even today, many societies remain slave societies. (Why is the Left always willing to condemn America but praise our enemies?)

Crenshaw accuses the right of explaining away the black underclass as a result of “inherent characteristics.” Wrong! The right recognizes that the welfare state promotes self-destructive behaviors and the underclass is enslaved to the welfare state. Let’s forget apologies and free the underclass.

Crenshaw desires “historical closure.” Most Americans have experienced “closure” with past slavery. Constantly tearing at the scab only causes the wound to bleed.

Par for the course, Crenshaw criticizes America’s Founding Fathers for expressing the ideals of liberty for all while condoning slavery. No one disputes the divergence of these ideals and their implementation.

Crenshaw insists that whites – and American culture itself – are in a state of denial about slavery (and other historical atrocities). Denial? Our cultural elites positively revel in past American misdeeds (while glossing over our triumphs and glories).

Is Crenshaw really suggesting that Americans are denying historical slavery? Is she subtly suggesting a moral equivalence between this perceived denial and those who deny the Holocaust?

Tragically, while her ancestors may have been enslaved in chains, Crenshaw (and others) have enslaved themselves to the past. She desires “a reopening of American historical memory,” as if anyone could “forget” American slavery. She wants an acknowledgement of America’s “tragic mistakes” but Americans have already acknowledged them.

We are fast approaching a new millennium. Isn’t it time to put the past behind us, to let the wounds heal, to live for the future? Until we do, this schizophrenic identity crisis will only exacerbate the already tumultuous times we are living in.

Is Brian Williams Crazy?

In the immediate aftermath of the ISIS terrorist attack in Munich, Germany, MSNBC anchor Brian Williams mused, “And why does it feel so strange to kind of root for it not being ISIS?”

Is Brian Williams Crazy

Let me respond to his question. It should feel strange to root for such a thing. Why root for the enemy? Would Christian terrorists or crazy right-wingers be preferable culprits?

Can you imagine anyone during World War II saying, “It feels so strange to kind of root for that bombing of London not being the work of the Nazis?” How many different enemies does Williams want?

Williams explained his irrational rationale – his deep desire – “to break the cycle [of ISIS] even though every death is an absolute tragedy and this just means we have deranged people without the affiliation?

He would prefer this attack had been committed by “deranged people” not affiliated with ISIS. Is Williams a “useful idiot” for a global terrorist network, a “fellow traveler” with those who seek to destroy Western Civilization?

Is Williams serious? In addition to being at war with a vast army of cruel barbarians intent upon destroying us to achieve their religious/ideological utopia based upon the Koran, Williams also wants more “deranged people” not affiliated with ISIS for us to combat.

Why? So he can feel good about being inclusive and dismiss the reality of Islamic jihad?

Williams’ sense of right and wrong requires believing that all religions are equal and all religions are capable of the barbarism on display almost daily in the news. No! They are not.

The Left’s constant moral equivalence during the Cold War between the West and the Evil Empire has shifted to an equally insane and suicidal moral equivalence between Muslim jihadists and Christian conservatives peacefully engaged in the political process.

Ever on the alert for mythical Christian terrorists to condemn, the Left is willfully blind to the Islamist threat we face every day.

But Williams merely follows in the footsteps of his ideological predecessors and comrades and who have been redefining terrorism for years.

In the immediate aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, many commentators and members of the mainstream media jumped to the conclusion that that terrorist attack was committed by the “extreme right,” anti-government groups, or the Tea Party.

Few considered the most obvious culprit: a radicalized Islamic jihadist. An astonishing banner headline appeared on the Salon website: “Let’s Hope the Boston Marathon Bomber Is a White American.” Williams’ musing mirror Salon’s perspective.

The time has come to end the identity politics and political correctness which have plagued our nation for so many decades. Identity politics and political correctness have weakened America in every area of life and placed our nation and our people in jeopardy.

Let’s stop this nonsense!

Let’s recognize the enemy, name him, and defeat him!

While we still can!

Ferguson in Flames

The world erupted into flames last night – or at least that portion of the world known as Ferguson, Missouri.

Ferguson

Rioting and vandalism all in the name of “justice.” Justice?

I think not.

Truth eludes these rioters and their supporters. Emotions prevail over facts and reason. Propagandistic lies have been accepted as truth.

And violence ensues. Innocent people hurt. Property destroyed.

In the name of “justice.”

For these rioters, “justice” means acquiesce to their race-based agenda and endorsement of their perceived racial grievances. “Justice” means assuaging guilt by emotion. (Why are we guilty for their behavior?)

And the indoctrination by the mainstream media continues unabated.

But, blacks are not victims of a fictitious “institutionalized white racism” and presumed “white privilege.”

Some blacks are victims of a fifty-year-old War on Poverty and a welfare state which has become the new plantation – created by Democrats who treat them as children.

Victimhood, entitlement, dependency, irresponsibility.

We can add jealousy and greed; jealousy of what others have and greed for what they don’t have.

Many have bought into the propaganda espoused by Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, MSNBC, and other liberal media outlets. They have become caught up in the emotions, trapped by the alleged racial grievances. They are despondent or enraged.

(Anyone looking to Sharpton for leadership deserves to be deluded.)

Some people sport “I Am Mike Brown” shirts, actually identifying with a thug who, while on drugs, attacked a police officer after robbing a store.

As for the police, they have been cowed by the racial grievance industry and fear of the rioters. The police have adopted Obama’s pretend-you-have-balls strategy against aggressors, refusing to respond to the rioters, the vandals, the looters, the arsonists, those who urge violence, and those who perpetrate it.

Perhaps Eric Holder was right. Perhaps we are a nation of cowards – for not speaking up against the Eric Holders and Al Sharptons of this world and for not speaking the truth about the dysfunctional black community.

The dysfunctional black community (or any dysfunctional community of any race or ethnicity) must address its dysfunctions from within. It is culture, not race. Change the culture and you will change the outcome.

Don’t blame whitey. Take responsibility. Root out bad behaviors. Inculcate good behaviors.

Reward right behaviors and right values. Disincentivize bad behaviors and wrong values.

Return to traditional values and Christian mores. Be proud and grateful to be an American.

And please – pleasereject Obama’s big government, paternalistic, race-obsessed, socialistic “solution” to problems he and his ideology created in the first place.

Update:

Every single investigation into the Ferguson shooting – including the exhaustive federal Justice Department investigation – exonerated Officer Wilson and determined that the Hands Up, Don’t Shoot narrative was a lie.

Even though this false racial narrative – this myth – has been proven false, many media, political, and cultural elites continue to promote this false narrative and attack those who expose it as a fraud.

That false racial narrative plays into the fears of those who are race-obsessed or who have been indoctrinated into believing racial stereotypes, which is ironic given they accuse others of racism.
