Racial Madness

Four blacks kidnapped and tortured a white mentally-challenged man while using “terrible racist statements.” (Torture streamed on Facebook Live!)

racial-madness

The Washington Post suggested it was inconsequential. CNN called it a “hazing.” One CNN panelist actually blamed Trump! NBC argued the thugs were not “truly trying to be criminal.” (Imagine saying that about the abominable Dylann Roof.)

The Chicago police refused to call it a hate crime. When is a hate crime not a hate crime? When its committed by blacks against a white male.

In related news, a university professor tweeted “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.” This professor remains employed.

Racial Healing Aborted

Barack Obama promised racial healing in America and racial tensions reached new heights under his presidency.

Despite Obama winning the presidency twice in a majority white nation, the racial grievance industry took control of the national debate. (No, not the KKK; the BLM.)

Phony Black Lives Matter narratives filled the airwaves, Internet, and social media.

Enslaved and energized by identity politics – and rejecting the promises and realities of Martin Luther King’s famous dream – the Black Lives Matter movement employed a range of racial myths to create a constituency and gain power and prestige. (Let’s not forget the money.)

quote-abraham-lincoln-freed-the-black-man-in-many-ways-dr-king-freed-the-white-man-how-did-ronald-reagan-137-80-36

Some of these narratives (e.g., “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”) have been proven totally false, yet they retain a visceral power which overwhelms reason and reality.

From Ferguson to Baltimore and across the nation, Black Lives Matter propaganda has destroyed communities and created chaos.

Riots are called “protests.” Murder is deemed “social justice.”

Root Causes

So-called “white privilege” is the latest bogeyman. But blacks are not victims of a fictitious “institutionalized white racism” or presumed “white privilege.”

Rather, some blacks are victims of a fifty-year-old War on Poverty and a welfare state which has become the new plantation – created by Democrats who treat them as children. The paternalistic state gone awry.

The welfare statenot white racism – has created generational poverty, generational broken homes, and a cultural of dependency justified by allegations that blacks are victims of white racism and the legacy of slavery.

Consequently, perceiving themselves to be victims, many feel entitled to whatever they can get from the government, becoming dependent upon that government. With it, comes rage against the injustices they perceive have been perpetrated against them. And with that comes a culture of irresponsibility.

quote-white-liberals-are-the-most-racist-people-there-are-because-they-put-blacks-in-a-box-benjamin-carson-93-91-53

David French observes, “When you celebrate thugs, you get more thugs.” He laments a “depraved culture” and “breakdown in law and order.”

French concludes: “Our nation’s social fabric is fraying — nowhere more than in Chicago. This is the Left’s city, a foundation of its national power. How many more people have to die before it changes course?”

Contemporary dysfunctional black communities are not rooted in America’s founding. Rather, one need only look to Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society and subsequent iterations of the welfare state and the adoption of progressive policies and political correctness to see the development and escalation of dysfunctional pathologies in some black (and a growing number of white) communities.

America No Longer Needs to Apologize for Slavery

My MSNBC Op-Ed (7/2/97), entitled, “America has acknowledged mistakes,” is as relevant today as it was twenty years ago. Here it is:

Kimberle Crenshaw writes about passionate “white opposition” to a formal apology for slavery (neglecting to mention the many blacks who oppose it as well). While citing their objections (in her terms: “personal denial,” “finger pointing,” “traditional historicizing,” and “new-age globalizing”), she fails to refute any of those arguments. She doesn’t even try.

Instead, Crenshaw questions the motives of those opposed to an apology, saying it “reflects a deep unwillingness to desegregate American history and to integrate American self-identity.” Self-flagellation is not my self-identity.

Crenshaw contrasts post-slave, post-apartheid societies with non-slave, non-apartheid ones, failing to note that all societies are at least post-slave and, even today, many societies remain slave societies. (Why is the Left always willing to condemn America but praise our enemies?)

Crenshaw accuses the right of explaining away the black underclass as a result of “inherent characteristics.” Wrong! The right recognizes that the welfare state promotes self-destructive behaviors and the underclass is enslaved to the welfare state. Let’s forget apologies and free the underclass.

Crenshaw desires “historical closure.” Most Americans have experienced “closure” with past slavery. Constantly tearing at the scab only causes the wound to bleed.

Par for the course, Crenshaw criticizes America’s Founding Fathers for expressing the ideals of liberty for all while condoning slavery. No one disputes the divergence of these ideals and their implementation.

Crenshaw insists that whites – and American culture itself – are in a state of denial about slavery (and other historical atrocities). Denial? Our cultural elites positively revel in past American misdeeds (while glossing over our triumphs and glories).

Is Crenshaw really suggesting that Americans are denying historical slavery? Is she subtly suggesting a moral equivalence between this perceived denial and those who deny the Holocaust?

Tragically, while her ancestors may have been enslaved in chains, Crenshaw (and others) have enslaved themselves to the past. She desires “a reopening of American historical memory,” as if anyone could “forget” American slavery. She wants an acknowledgement of America’s “tragic mistakes” but Americans have already acknowledged them.

We are fast approaching a new millennium. Isn’t it time to put the past behind us, to let the wounds heal, to live for the future? Until we do, this schizophrenic identity crisis will only exacerbate the already tumultuous times we are living in.

Left Fixated on Mythical, White, Right-Wing Extremists!

The Left has gone bonkers again, this time over the Oregon rancher standoff.

Mythical

As reported by Infowars (emphasis added):

“Numerous voices are calling for a literal bloodbath in Oregon – and the exercise of unilateral government power to kill the individuals involved, including supporters. It is an armed and highly-charged, but so far peaceful situation that is, nonetheless, rooted firmly in civil disobedience and principle. But that hasn’t stopped opponents from calling for them to be treated like domestic terrorists.”

The Left is incoherently outraged, making spurious racial charges and demonizing whites, conservatives, law enforcement, and the media over alleged racial and political bias in favor of whites and conservatives. (What world do they live in?)

In the Age of Islamic Terrorists, the Left continues to be obsessed with alleged white, right-wing extremists! Why this obsession? Two reasons. One – they are white.[1] Two – they are conservative. But are they extremists? In the mind of the Left, yes. To more rational human beings, no.

Salon Leads the Charge!

Headline: “No happy ending in Oregon: We can’t reward white, right-wing extremists every time they pull a gun and threaten violence”

How is not wantonly killing protesters engaged in legitimate, peaceful, civil disobedience rewarding them? They have a right to protest! (First Amendment: “the right to peaceably assemble.”)

How often do “white, right-wing extremists” “pull a gun and threaten violence?”

The writers at Salon apparently think it is very often.

But, are these justice-seeking ranchers really extremists? And, are they threatening violence? No and no. They are engaged in a peaceful protest, an act of civil disobedience which, if conducted by liberals, would be treated as a noble act of social justice.

Salon’s lead paragraph claimed that the ranchers “are protesting perceived overreach from the federal government.”

Except, of course, the federal overreach is far more than perceived. It is very, very real. The convicted ranchers have already served time for trumped-up charges.

Salon graciously declined to call them “terrorists,” preferring the term “separatists,” because of “the group’s refusal to acknowledge the federal government”

Except, of course, the so-called “separatists” want neither separation nor an emasculated federal government. They want a federal government which operates within the framework of the Constitution.

Salon then compared these white “separatists” “with black protesters and Occupy Wall Street.” Salon claimed that the encampments of “peaceful, unarmed [Occupy Wall Street] protesters” “were brutally dismantled by law enforcement. Police didn’t hesitate to use tear gas, rubber bullets and batons to clear them out.”

Except, of course, Occupy Wall Street activists were far from peaceful and it often took weeks for the government to respond. Indeed, OWS encampments occupied entire parks in the nation’s capital, and other U.S. cities, for months!

Salon also claimed, “Nor was there any hesitation to call in the National Guard on Black Lives Matter protesters in Baltimore. So far, the Malheur occupiers are meeting no such resistance.”

Except, of course, the Baltimore “protesters” were violent rioters and looters committing mayhem while Baltimore authorities actually dillydallied in seeking assistance, choosing instead to give them “space to destroy.” The rioters wanted to purge the city.[2] In contrast, the so-called “separatists” have harmed and threatened no one.

Having made a false equivalence while distorting the facts, Salon then pitched its message:

“This discrepancy is important. Peaceful, left-wing protesters are fair game for state violence. But when armed anti-government zealots seize federal property and promise to defend themselves, law enforcement takes time for tact, maybe even negotiation.”

Salon fabricated so-called “state violence” against allegedly “Peaceful, left-wing protesters.” The actual violence of Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter is uncontestable. Moreover, their violent rhetoric encourages more violence as they call for the assassination of their foes and the burning of cities. Their nihilistic sense of “justice” is the killing of those they hate.

In contrast, the “separatists,” as Salon calls them, are defending themselves from government overreach.

Salon concluded, “more important, we cannot reward white, right-wing extremists every time they pull a gun and threaten violence. And if there is bloodshed, there is real danger it will spread like the Hammonds’ own fire.”

If only Salon had the courage to challenge left-wing movements which really are violent! And what do we make of Leftists who want these “separatists” to be killed? Are Leftists really peaceful and supportive of the rule of law? Or are they selective in the law’s application?

Protester, Separatist, or Terrorist?

At least Salon did not call the ranchers “terrorists!” Others on the Left were not so sanguine.

As pointed out by Tammy Bruce, “No one’s at risk. There’s no one in the vicinity. They happen to have their firearms. That’s their lifestyle.” In contrast, “the 2011 takeover of Wisconsin’s capitol building by union activists resulted in millions of dollars in damages, yet no one considered referring to them as terrorists.” (Did you see the video at the time? Anarchy and wanton destruction!)

Alan Colmes, on the other hand, focused on race and ethnicity, claiming, “If you had Muslims here it would be called domestic terrorism,” apparently believing the white “separatists” should be called “terrorists.” In fact, Islamic terrorism is the terrorism threat endangering Americans today.[3]

The Left continues to be obsessed with the race of individuals,[4] rather than the nature of their actions. If whites or conservatives do it, it must be bad; if minorities or liberals do it, it must be good.

Justified Civil Disobedience

David French made some salient observations. Having analyzed the original court case, French observed, “What emerges is a picture of a federal agency that will use any means necessary, including abusing federal anti-terrorism statutes, to increase government landholdings.” It’s all about a land-grab by the government.

According to the ranchers, in the 1990s, “the government then began a campaign of harassment designed to force the family to sell its land, beginning with barricaded roads and arbitrarily revoked grazing permits and culminating in an absurd anti-terrorism prosecution based largely on two ‘arsons’ that began on private land but spread to the Refuge.”

French added, “There’s a clear argument that the government engaged in an overzealous, vindictive prosecution here. … To the outside observer, it appears the government has attempted to crush private homeowners and destroy their livelihood in a quest for even more land.”

Unlike Leftist protests this decade (think Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, various college campus protests), these ranchers are occupying “a vacant federal building in the middle of nowhere, and there is no reported threat to innocent bystanders.”

Yet, some on the Left want the federal government to crack down on the ranchers with “shoot to kill” orders because they are white conservatives who do not fit the liberal narrative for social justice activists.

French concluded: “Yet now they’re off to prison once again – not because they had to go or because they harmed any other person but because the federal government has pursued them like a pack of wolves. They are victims of an all-too-common injustice. Ranchers and other landowners across the country find themselves chafing under the thumb of an indifferent and even oppressive federal government. Now is the time for peaceful protest. If it gets the public to pay attention, it won’t have been in vain.”

Are these ranchers “right-wing extremists” and “terrorists” as the Left would have you believe? Or are they simply American citizens seeking justice from a tyrannical government through peaceful civil disobedience?

The Left Goes Gaga Over Paris Attack

In the aftermath of the horrendous, 9/11-style, coordinated terrorist attack on Paris by Islamic jihadists, the Left, by and large, has demonstrated its capacity to rationalize evil, ignore reality, and dismiss the truth.

Left Gaga

While many mourned the loss of life and were roused to defeat the enemy that has become our implacable foe, others either denied or dismissed this existential threat, blamed America (Bush, conservatives) for the attack, or refused to call ISIS either Islamic or evil.

Some continued to assert that ISIS is on the run, or that climate change is a greater threat than terrorism, or that gun control is the answer – all various attempts to escape the reality of life and the world as it is, not the world as liberals think it should be.

But first, kudos to Saturday Night Live for exhibiting class “with a brief, moving tribute to the city of Paris delivered by cast member Cecily Strong, clad in a black dress.” Strong declared: “Paris is the city of lights and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you.”

Vive la France!

Now, on to the rest.

Paris Attacked – So What?

Black Lives Matter proved, once again, that the only lives that matter to it are those exceptionally few black lives killed by white cops. Its response to massive death in Paris was despicable, as noted in statements and tweets from its members.

Prepare for a shock as you read this set of expletive-laden tweets expressing hatred toward Parisians for taking the spotlight away from BLM, which is nothing more than a racial grievance organization promoting victimhood and espousing violence.

Blame Bush, Conservatives, and America

Even in the seventh year of the Obama administration, the Left blames George W. Bush for everything – even events and situations created by Obama’s own policies and actions.

All three Democrat presidential contenders, in one way or another, blamed the former President (former by two elections) for the Paris terrorist attack. Salon blamed both Bush and America. It’s headline spoke volumes: “Our terrorism double standard: After Paris, let’s stop blaming Muslims and take a hard look at ourselves.” Ourselves? Salon fails to discern the evil hearts of terrorists and, instead, attacks fellow Americans.

Salon took to task those nasty conservatives who leapt to the conclusion that Islamic terrorists were to blame, “even though there was no evidence and practically nothing was known about the attackers,” claiming their motivation was to seize this “violence” (note: not “terrorism”) “as an opportunity to demonize Muslims and refugees from Muslim-majority countries.”

No evidence? How about the modus operandi? The nature of the attacks themselves. Witnesses who heard what the terrorists said?

The liberal media blamed conservatives for the fact that terrorists attacked Paris. Salon tweeted: “Real terror unfolds in Paris. Perhaps this will convince the right to done down their incessant violent rhetoric.”

In their contorted logic, what we said caused innocent Muslims to viciously attack someone else.

Salon also posted a lengthy, rambling, incoherent essay blaming violent, elimination rhetoric on the Right for this – and other – terrorist attacks. According to Salon, “Real terrorists have killed people in the streets of Paris. The right-wing media needs to take note of that fact and moderate their rhetoric and abusive language accordingly.”

They continue: “Given the American right-wing’s casual habit of using violent language to describe their foes, and to gin up fear and anxiety among the movement conservative base, the Fox News’ right-wing echo chamber and its elites should be ashamed given the death and destruction that terrorism actually reaps in practice.”

(Salon should read those Black Lives Matter tweets noted above.)

For quite a few years, the Left has redefined terrorism to actually exclude terrorist actors and activities, and instead to demonize conservatives, the Tea Party, and Christians (who are actually the targets of Islamic jihadists).

Blame Climate Change Myth, Not Fact of ISIS Terror

Yet again, the far Left is using yet another tragedy to promote its phony climate change agenda. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the openly Socialist Democrat presidential candidate claimed, “In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism.”

This is in keeping with the Obama administration’s viewpoint, which has, on at least 23 occasions, claimed that climate change poses a greater national security threat than Islamic terrorism (which it doesn’t call by that name).

Make Love, Not War

The pacifist War Is Not The Answer contingent greeted this latest destructive attack on Western Civilization with its Sixties-style “make love, not war” mantra. Pop icon Madonna argued, “Yes, there are people who have no respect for human life and there are people that do atrocious, degrading and unforgivable things to other human beings, but we will never ever, ever change this world that we live in if we do not change ourselves, if we do not change the way that we treat one another on a daily basis.”

In other words, we need to change before the terrorists stop committing terror. Applying the same logic, we should not arrest criminals but, rather, change ourselves until they stop their criminal activities.

Madonna, continued, “Only love will change the world, but it’s very hard to love unconditionally and it’s very hard to love that which we do not understand, or that which is different than we are. But we have to or this will go on and on forever.”

Again, it is our fault for not understanding them, and until we understand them, terrorism will not end. Most rational people do understand that these are evil people committing evil acts.

Nevertheless, “fired MSNBC personality Krystal Ball” insisted: “Most powerful response to radical hate is radical love. Open your hearts wider and love harder.”

This is the Barack Obama Model for World Peace, a model proven wrong time and again.

Release Terrorists; Take in Refugees; Spurn Persecuted Christians

So, we can’t call the terrorists what they are – terrorists – and we aren’t supposed to fight back against those self-same terrorists who want to destroy us – because it wouldn’t be, according to our Commander-in-Chief, in keeping with our American values.

(Mr. President, you don’t adhere to “American values.”)

Now, we find ourselves in a panorama from Hell. At one and the same time, the Obama administration is releasing more Gitmo detainees (i.e. terrorists), even as it brings into America even more Syrian refugees (many of whom are undoubtedly terrorists), while utterly ignoring the plight of Christians who are persecuted by the terrorists it refuses to fight.

Some would call that crazy!

President Obama has just released five more Yemeni terrorists from Gitmo, while continuing its efforts to “accept 10,000 Syrian refugees,” with a goal of absorbing 100,000 refugees annually. Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton actually wants to increase the number of refugees brought into America.

Clinton’s senatorial successor in New York, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, concurs, saying, “I think what we could be doing more of is dealing with the humanitarian crisis. I wish we were focused on how we could create relief for millions of families that are streaming out of Syria. I’ve seen our European partners really pick up the pace and take significant responsibility for these families. What Germany has done is outstanding. I think America should be doing more.”

In the meantime, Obama’s State Department (once run by Hillary), has denied visas for Christians being persecuted in Iraq. This falls on Obama’s shoulders.

At the G20 Summit in Turkey, Obama said, “We have to, each of us, do our part, and the United States has to step up and do its part. When I hear folks say that, well, maybe we should just admit the Christians but not the Muslims. When I hear political leaders suggesting that there would be a religious test for which person who’s fleeing from a war-torn country is admitted. When some of those folks themselves come from families who benefitted from protection when they were fleeing political persecution – that’s shameful. That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion.”

(Mr. President, you don’t know “who we are.”)

ISIS is Neither Islamic Nor Evil

The Obama administration continues to claim that Islamic terrorists are not Islamic and it refuses to recognize that what they engage in is terrorism. Last Saturday (the day after the Paris attacks) all three Democrat presidential candidates avoided the stark reality of global Islamic jihad.

(The Left will soon discover that ISIS is more dangerous that campus radicals.)

Dan Kimmel, a [Democrat] candidate for a Minnesota state representative seat” tweeted: “ISIS isn’t necessarily evil. It is made up of people doing what they think is best for their community. Violence is not the answer, though.”

That logic would justify every serial killer and terrorist throughout human history.”

But ISIS is Islamic and ISIS is evil. The evil of ISIS derives from a defect in the human heart, not a product of economic deprivation. Obama’s ideas of putting ISIS on welfare are ludicrous.

Gun Control Will Stop Jihadists

Other proposed solutions to end the jihadist threat include the liberal favorite: gun control. Hint: gun control never works to achieve its stated goals. Gun control only serves to aid tyrants and dictators, terrorists and criminals. If any of those victims in Paris had been armed, they might not have become victims. Weapons in the hands of law-abiding citizens are a game changer for good.

Nonetheless, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America tweeted: “Our hearts are with the victims and survivors of the horrific mass shooting and violent attacks in Paris today.” The attached photo bore the words: “We are united in mourning all lives lost to gun violence.”

Those lives weren’t lost due to gun violence, but due to terrorists intent upon doing evil.

Appeasement Is the Answer

Like gun control, appeasement never works. Still, Obama is intent upon continuing his disastrous foreign policy. In light of the Paris attack, Obama said, “The strategy we are pursuing … that’s the strategy we are going to have to pursue. And we are going to continue to generate more partners for that strategy.”

The strategy that created ISIS and mushroomed it into a world-threatening terrorist state is the strategy that Obama intends to continue?

Appeasement encourages aggression and leads to defeat and subjugation.

ISIS is on the Run

Obama’s false claims that Al-Qaeda is on the run, that the war on terror is over, that ISIS is JV, that ISIS is contained, ad infinitum, were amplified by yet another claim, this one from a Muslim apologist who argues that the Paris attack is a sign of weakness and not strength on the part of ISIS. (Just as Obama claimed Putin’s many acts of aggression are really signs of weakness.)

This apologist reasons thus: “There is a reason ISIL still want to appear so powerful, why they don’t want to acknowledge that the land they control has been taken from weak enemies, that they are pinned down by airstrikes, or that just last weekend they lost a significant part of their territory.”

“ISIL don’t want you to know they would quickly be crushed if they ever faced a proper army on a battlefield.”

“They want you to fear them. They want you to get angry. They want all of us to become hostile, and here is why – ISIL’s strategy is to split the world into two camps. It is that black and white. Again, we know this because they told us.”

Except, of course, they haven’t. This phony propaganda is designed to dismiss and discount the danger posed by ISIS, to thwart the sense of urgency the West sees in combating that terrorist threat, and to enable the status quo to continue until the West has been defeated.

I’m sure the current President of the United States would rally behind this apologist’s opinion, just as he has heralded all of the many unprecedented accomplishments of his tenure in the Oval Office. After all, according to Obama, America has never been stronger and the world has never been safer.

But for those who live in the real world, neither of those claims is true.

Commonsense Guns Laws

President Obama and the Left have recently called for “commonsense gun control laws.” They are right about the need for “commonsense” but wrong about the laws to be enacted.

The operative words in their mantra – “gun control” – reveal their intent and the heart of the problem: they reject “criminal control” laws (which would curb most gun violence) and they refuse to address the mental illness (which animates mass shootings).

GunLaws

What would Commonsense Gun Laws (not “gun control”) look like? Well, the exact opposite of what Barack Obama wants.

Here are a few areas where legislation and implementation of policies would immediately make America safer:

Eliminate gun-free zones. Virtually every mass shooting has taken place in a gun-free zone precisely because the killers knew they could maximize damage while minimizing risk. Federal buildings, banks, convention centers, and other venues have armed security forces which deter crime and prevent mass shootings. Why are politicians and the wealthy protected by armed security forces, but most Americans (even our children) unprotected and told to run for their lives if a madman targets them?

Expand private ownership of guns by law-abiding citizens. Make it easier for citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights and to thereby protect themselves, their families, and their local communities. Expanding the pool of law-abiding citizens who own guns makes it harder for criminals to do their own thing. As noted by National Review, “The number of guns in the United States has increased by 62% since 1994 but gun violence has decreased by 49% since 1993.”

Increase concealed-carry permits for law-abiding citizens. An armed populace is a deterrent to crime. When criminals don’t know who might be armed, they exercise far greater restraint in their criminal activities.

Stop coddling criminals. Giving criminals and rioters “space” to commit violence is lunacy. Providing politically correct rationalizations for criminal behavior encourages more criminal behavior. Releasing violent criminals in the interests of “fairness” endangers the American people. Get back to basics: If you do the crime, then you do the time.

Robustly address mental illness in America. Mental illness (not guns) is the root cause of most mass shootings.

Deport violent immigrants and illegal aliens. Violent crime by immigrants and illegal aliens is escalating. If they are unwilling to abide by our laws, then they should not enjoy the benefits of living in America. The first duty of government is to protect its citizens.

Reclaim the culture. This will be the hardest task of all. It requires restoring God and America to their proper places in the public school system and higher education, returning to traditional values and respect for our Judeo-Christian, Western Civilization heritage, and championing adherence to the Constitution. (Much of this is cultural, not legislative.)

The Great Society, victim culture (grievance culture), and growing sense of entitlement in primarily urban communities has engendered a culture of violence. Moreover, a culture which reveres cop-killers and promotes killing cops is dysfunctional to its core.

A culture which claims only black lives (and only those killed by white cops) matter, while all others do not, is a thoroughly bankrupt culture.

A culture which defends Planned Parenthood’s grotesque butchery while equating Southerners with Nazis – and gun owners as evil incarnate – needs rescuing.

A culture which tramples on the American flag and finds fault with everything American is suicidal.

The Left would have us do more of the same – extend the ever-expanding welfare state, subordinate local and state control to an all-powerful federal government, and escalate the demise of our American culture begun by the Countercultural Revolution of the Sixties.

Commonsense Gun Laws are indeed commonsense, but they are in opposition to the Left’s agenda of fundamentally transforming America. Most Americans want to restore American greatness and preserve (and expand) liberty, including adherence to the letter and the spirit of the Second Amendment.

Will the Constitution survive? Not if the Left succeeds in stripping it of its power.

Update: Like Socialism, gun control never works (unless, by “works,” one means limiting liberty and growing government). The following four charts demonstrate the fallacy of gun control logic.

Bryce Williams – Domestic Terrorist Ignored by the Media

Bryce Williams committed an act of terrorism yesterday and the media refuses to call it such. Williams, a black gay journalist, murdered two white former co-workers because they were white and straight. Williams targeted them with deliberate intent for the specific political purpose of promoting his agenda, making this an act of terrorism.

Williams

[For distinctions between acts of terror and mass murders committed by madmen, see “Making Sense of Madness.”]

Remember, Williams executed two people as a vendetta with a political purpose. Williams perceived himself as a continuous victim of individual and systemic racism and homophobia. Seething with frustration and rage, Williams chose his targets, timed his attack, and used social and traditional media to maximum effect to get out his message.

His manifesto expresses deep admiration for mass murderers, such as Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho, and he showed his desire to emulate them.

Blaming the Gun Instead of the Human Heart

Ironically, Williams, who sought to maximize coverage of his racial and gay agenda, has been dismissed as a mentally ill “disgruntled employee” and the Left has focused almost exclusively on gun control (which would not have prevented these killings).

Practically from the moment that this tragedy made the news, politicians and political activists leapt on the Gun Control as a Cure to Violence bandwagon. However, gun control advocates ignore the wealth of data while proves that gun control does not work even as they rebuff efforts to address the amply-documented mental health aspects of mass shootings. [See “Let’s Stop the Insanity Over Gun Violence.”]

Who is the Real Victim?

Claiming to be the victim, Williams victimized those he killed (Alison Parker and Adam Ward), their families, friends, colleagues, and all those impacted by this tragic act of terror. Further, Williams has victimized society itself, and corrupted the use of social media in a way previously unknown.

Raised in a culture which is obsessively politically correct, one which calls evil good and good evil, and which rewards irresponsibility while punishing the responsible, we should not be surprised that Williams (and countless others like him) succumbed to the victimhood mentality.

One perceived micro-aggression after another after another drove him mad.

Author Ben Shapiro writes:

“Had a white straight man killed a black gay man, released first-person tape of the shooting, and then unleashed a manifesto about being victimized by affirmative action and anti-religious bigotry from homosexuals, the media would never stop covering the story.”

Shapiro continues:

“But Bryce Williams’ self-described victim status, even while murdering innocents, will merit no rethinking of the divisive politics in which he apparently bathed. We won’t have a conversation about whether pushing a perennial picture of victimhood for blacks and gays in the most black-friendly, gay-friendly country on the planet could drive supposed victims to violence. We won’t talk about whether the Democratic Party’s takeover by the Black Lives Matter crew has encouraged some people to believe that only black lives matter, since only black lives are in danger – and even then, only some black lives matter, namely those killed by white people. Instead, we will be assured that Bryce Williams is an outlier by the same people who blamed Sarah Palin for Jared Lee Loughner shooting Gabrielle Giffords.”

Shapiro concludes:

“Teaching Americans that they aren’t victims would be a great way of battling evil – most victims aren’t evil, but virtually all evil people think they are victims, and thus justify their violence. But teaching Americans that they aren’t victims would undercut the Democratic message that all minorities are victims, and thus require bigger government. And that message, and its attendant political success, must take precedence over the building of a more inclusive, more understanding country.”

Some will question whether this is an act of terrorism. Remember, apart from his personal motives of revenge, Williams had a political motive – to start a “race war.” Others will question whether this act of terror was about race. Remember, Williams was race obsessed and he wanted to start a “race war.”

Let us remember that the real victims are the innocents executed in an act of terror by a madman with a racial and gay agenda.

Update: Williams not only extolled mass killers, he identified with terrorists. Williams was a terrorist!

King’s Dream Realized (sort of)

Americans are again celebrating Martin Luther King Day in honor of the great civil rights leader, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., yet recent polls show a growing number of Americans believe that race relations are worse now than they were prior to the Obama presidency.

King famously offered a challenge and a prediction, proclaiming, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

King01

King’s dream has, in large measure, been realized. Americans today do not view race as they did fifty years ago. Indeed, people of all races have the freedom to do what they want to do and be what they want to be unhindered by their race. In that sense, race does not matter.

Yet, at the same time, for some people race is all that matters.

Racial Hoaxes

At one time – for a very long time – white racism kept blacks down. But, though small pockets of white racism may still exist, they have been marginalized and emasculated. However, black racism has been elevated, enabled, and empowered by the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, Barack Obama, and one of the current president’s mentors, Jeremiah Wright.

The award-winning movie, The Butler, fabricated racial hoaxes to promote a racial narrative of black victimization. Perhaps the most memorable and heartbreaking scene – Cecil Gaines as a young child witnesses his mother’s rape and father’s murder by a white landowner – never happened! It was fabricated to stir up feelings of horror which would continue throughout the film (which is promoted as a biography).

Race hustlers, like those listed above, divide America by race as they promote a false racial narrative of white supremacy and black victimology. For several decades, these hucksters have exploited the very people they profess to help.

Ironically, the help they offer is ever-greater intrusion of the federal government into the lives of every American when it is in fact the government itself which is the cause of so much of dysfunction which plagues certain (primarily urban) black communities.

Johnson’s Great Society has been a failure. The welfare state has fared poorly among those it “serves.” The consequences of the Nanny State include the decimation of the black nuclear family, dependency on government, and fostering of both a sense of being a victim and a sense of entitlement to redress that alleged victimization.

The Civil Rights Movement of the Sixties was successful in securing legal and cultural reform. American attitudes and mores were radically altered within a generation. But that movement was later hijacked by many of its leaders into something Rev. King would repudiate.

The race hustlers seek their own profit while enabling their constituency to remain shackled to government dependency and cultural poverty. And, as a direct consequence of their of their self-promoting propaganda, their instigate riots, arson, mayhem, and murder.

Rev. King’s Wisdom

Actor Morgan Freeman expressed it well: “Dr. Martin Luther King is not a black hero. He is an American hero.”

Let us hearken to the words of this America hero. As we do, compare his goals and his way of achieving those goals with that of many leaders of the current civil rights movement. King was inspirational and uplifting, bringing out the best in people. His love, courage, optimism, and God-centered purpose elevated people and public discourse.

“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

“Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.”

“When evil men plot, good men plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love.”

In contrast, Al Sharpton et. al., declare blacks to be continuing victims and not overcomers, and they proffer a path of destruction will leads to dystopia.

In his last speech, Rev. King inspired each of us, saying:

“Like anybody, I would like to live – a long life; longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land. So I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”

Propaganda Kills

Orwell’s Big Brother would be proud!

Anarchy has been termed democracy in action. Rioting, looting, and arson have been termed components of free speech. And murder has now been called justice.

Yesterday, two innocent New York City police officers were assassinated by a racist thug who is himself a victim of propaganda. The officer were not “executed” – execution implies they were tried and convicted of a crime.

PropagandaKills

On Fox & Friends this morning, former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani said it is “shameful” that politicians are using propaganda to separate the community from the police.

former NYPD commissioner Bernie Kerik blames the race hustlers, claiming that they “have blood on their hands.”

Indeed, they do.

Remember, the meme of “hands up, don’t shoot” is a racial myth! It never happened. yet it has been used to justify all manner of injustice and to foment racial division.

The racist cop myth is being used to disguise the real causes of legitimate grievances within the black community: fifty years of failed liberal policies.

NYC Mayor de Blasio’s policies have allowed protests to turn into anarchy as “protestors” call for the death of cops. The “protestors” got their wish.

Fox News contributor Peter Johnson actually equated police officers turning their backs on de Blasio with the step-father of Michael Brown calling for Ferguson to be burned to the ground. Johnson said that both were “emotional responses” to their respective situations.

Wrong answer. One was a peaceful show of disagreement with the mayor, the other an out-of-control call for mob violence.

“Dead cops!” Apparently only “black lives matter.” Cops of any color do not. And those who contend that all lives matter are condemned, shouted down, attacked, and killed.

Nevertheless, with anarchists in the streets and violence overtaking America, President Obama contends that we are in the midst of a “healthy conversation” about race.

Update:

Every single investigation into the Ferguson shooting – including the exhaustive federal Justice Department investigation – exonerated Officer Wilson and determined that the Hands Up, Don’t Shoot narrative was a lie.

Even though this false racial narrative – this myth – has been proven false, many media, political, and cultural elites continue to promote this false narrative and attack those who expose it as a fraud.

That false racial narrative plays into the fears of those who are race-obsessed or who have been indoctrinated into believing racial stereotypes, which is ironic given they accuse others of racism.
