Braggadocio! Hubris! And the unmaking of America.
Obama once bragged, “We’re leaving behind a stable and self-reliant Iraq.”
Obama recently boasted, “America has rarely been stronger relative to the rest of the world.”
Obama’s press secretary insisted that the Obama administration “has substantially furthered American interests and substantially improved the, uh, you know, the – the tranquility of the global community.”
In addition, to world peace and safety for Americans, Obama has also ushered in a new era of prosperity. The President claimed, “So it is indisputable that our economy is stronger today than when I took office. By every economic measure, we are better off now than we were when I took office (10/2/14).”
Can I dispute it?
The Red Queen Speaks
The First Lady agreed with her husband, reiterating almost verbatim, “by almost every economic measure, we are better off today than when Barack took office (10/3/14).”
In reality, by almost every economic measure, we are worse off today than when Obama took office.
Whenever asked, the American people disagree with the President and First Lady. Their lives do not seem to have improved as a result of Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America.”
In 2009, the United States ranked 6th in economic freedom. Now it ranks 12th. Other economic indicators are equally bleak (see chart above).
The Left has been so enchanted with Obama that they remain blind to his lies. When confronted with the truth, Fox News contributor Juan Williams defended Obama’s claim, declaring, “Because it’s true!”
Far too many Americans are willfully blind to the damage wrought by the current incumbent in the White House, championing policies which are actually damaging the economic and cultural fabric of America.
